"I eat 1000 calories a day. Why am I not losing weight?”

Lets be completely clear….. If you eat 1000 calories EVERY day you are going to drop lot of weight and very quickly.

If your weight is not going down that means you might be eating 1000 calories one, two, three or maybe four days in a week but for the rest of the week you are massively overeating. PERIOD!

Fat is stored energy. When you consume more than your body burns in a day, then the excess is going to be stored for later. And the other way around. If you eat less calories than you use in a day your weight goes down. If you can gain weight while being in calorie deficit then you should get a Nobel prize. Because you just created energy out thin air!

If you eat 1000 calories a day and your weight is not going anywhere then maybe you might consider to eat little more….. bear with me here. As i said when you eat that amount of calories a few days a week, most likely you are limiting your self so much that when it comes to the end of a week you just want let some steam out and end up going massively overboard with your calories.

Let's do little math here. Shell we? Lets say you eat 1000 calories a day 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur) and for the rest of a week you go all the way up to 3000 calories…..

1000x 4 = 4000

3000x 3 = 9000

4000 + 9000 = 13000

That means in a week you consume 13000 calories.

Now! What if you increase you daily intake to 1500 calories a day. That way you are not going to feel like you are limiting yourself and when the weekend comes you won’t feel like you need to binge and are more likely stay within your calories through out the whole week

1500x 7 = 10500

Yes! By eating more you can actually lose some weight…. There I said it! Remember, When it comes to weight loss. It's not important how strict you can be, but how consistent you are with the changes you make.
