I am not a particularly sceptical person but as I had not had a personal trainer   previously, I did have doubts about what could be achieved through working with a personal trainer.  In addition, I had spoken to a number of personal trainers who provided a lot of technical and scientific sounding informations most of which I didn’t fully understand and which I didn’t find very convincing. What I could expect from them and what they would expect from me in order to achieve my goals was rarely well articulated. 

The biggest obstacle to overcome for me was the financial commitment, paying for a personal training is my second biggest single financial outlay each month.  However, I was able to see the benefits fairly quickly both in terms of weight loss and overall fitness. I was able to see that the training was achieving the results I wanted and on this basis represented a good

investment.  The second biggest obstacle was making the personal commitment to the training, partly in terms of time but mostly psychologically.  The time was fairly easy as time in the gym with a personal trainer like Yuri is very productive and I can achieve much more in my hour with him that I would in two hours on my own.  The psychological commitment was that, having set my goals, I would trust Yuri to come up with the right training regime for the right part of my development and that, while I may be challenged, I could and would complete it.  I also had to commit to changing my eating habits and patterns and with Yuri’s advice and support I have been able to make considerable improvements in my diet.

My personal goals were to loose weight and get in better physical shape.  My weight loss objective was to loose 10kg and get back to the weight I was 10 years ago. I achieved my weight loss goal and my % body fat fell from almost 20% to 10%.  My body shape has changed, my waist size has fallen from size 34 to size 30.  One additional benefit I have realised is a much healthier diet.  Yuri has helped me to understand my eating habits and to reduce bad habits and has provided great diet advice to ensure I am eating healthier.

 

I would recommend Yuri to my friends and family and to anyone.  I would be very happy to make a personal recommendation to any of my friends or work colleagues who wanted a personal trainer to help them achieve their goals.  I have given Yuri my before and after pictures as evidence of our achievement and am very happy for him to share these pictures and this recommendation with others.  I would say that my experience of working with Yuri has been extremely positive, I have had clear goals and Yuri has been able to translate these into programs of exercise and healthy eating that have helped me to meet and exceed these goals.  I would say that Yuri’s personal style is relaxed and professional and responsive to the needs of his clients.

I'd been working out with a personal trainer for a year before deciding to look for someone else as I wasn't achieving the results I was after, mainly because I wasn't receiving a complete service.

 

Yuri quickly put my mind at ease, explaining the program he was offering. Having trained with Yuri for over a year I definitely feel stronger, leaner, my running has improved, with faster times and my posture is much better. His tips on nutrition are excellent and have helped me reduce my body fat and become much leaner than I was expecting! 

 

Yuri has even taken the time to visit my chiropractor to tailor my program and focus on areas in which I had previously struggled so that my form has improved.

I was always worried that personal trainers would just stick me on a treadmill and I would be wasting my time and money, I wanted a personal trainer that could do all the thinking for me, and get me results. I was lucky that Yuri is strong willed and showed me what a trainer should be like.

Once I made the decision to change my life taking the next step was easy. I needed to stop making excuses and commit to the process otherwise I would be making the same mistakes over and over again with no result.

Before I started training with Yuri, I had completely lost sight of my own health. I was overeating and my diet lacked any form of decent nutrition. I had stopped exercising and felt tired all the time. And not only did it reflect in my physical appearance, it showed in my self-confidence.

After 2 years of regular training sessions, coaching and nutritional advice from Yuri - I have not only seen incredible changes in my physique, I have changed my whole mindset towards how I look after my health. I’ve never felt stronger and more full of energy. I am more educated about how to manage my diet and how to train smart. I feel more confident and more productive in general. Starting this journey with Yuri was the best decision I’ve made. I finally have my mojo back!
